Cory! And Farah! Kathy (and Joe) from Australia here. Cory buddy, I googled you today to try and track down your address to send a letter to you, and found your blog. So for the last 2 hours, I've been glued to the lap-top impatiently waiting for your pictures and words to down-load via our horribly slow dial-up internet connection (no broadband in the country area where we are living). It has been an amazing time catching up with your news - I can hear your voice through your words and feel like we've been chatting away.
Joe and I are amazed RE how awesome your photography is, and need to talk to you about it! What are you using? As of yesterday, we are the proud owners of a Nikon D50 with an extra 70-300mm lens.. we have been playing with it all day, but have been hampered by 41 degrees celsius heat (106 F I think) and the worst bushfires in 50 years here, with horrible smoke all around. So much more to say, have e-mailed you so let me know if I got your address right. Love to Farah and your family - it was lovely to see pictures of them, you all look exactly the same. Its interesting how long its been but how much we still have in common... hope to talk to you soon buddy xoxoxox
Kathy (and Joe!!!) Wow! What a surprise!!! It's so great to hear from you guys. Man, it would be awesome (I threw that in there to make me sound extra American. You know, us yanks always saying awesome this, awesome that, right!) to see you guys again one of these days. You are such a warm, fun-loving, good-humored couple; we really enjoy spending time with you guys. I don't know why but I always remember the time that we went to the Grand Canyon together and Joe pretended like he was peeing into the canyon by squeezing his big water bottle. That was very random, I know, but it is still making me laugh years later!! Joe is such a funny guy. Well, so much has happened between then and now but I think that you're right about us still having lots in common. We definitely have to go see you in Oz! Gosh, it's been such a long time (again, my fault for not writing). I'm terrible at getting busy with life and putting email on the back burner (note: also terrible at making excuses!). I'll follow up with an email in the next couple of days with our address as it has changed since we are back living in Southern California. And for now, I'll answer your question about the camera quickly. I use a Nikon D70. Glad that you joined the Nikon family. I'm sure that you guys are already getting lots of use out of your camera. You'll have to start a blog like mine, too. It would be totally awesome if you guys were also online. Heard about the bushfires here in the US, which means they must be pretty bad. I hope that you guys are safe from the fires in your area... are you? We'll talk more via email. Once again, it was so good to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by, guys.
OMG Awesome pictures..as USUAL but still you amaze me with that camera of yours.
oh its elaine ^^^^ btw.
Thanks, Elaine. :)
