evandalism
The Tower Bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Sacramento and as of late has become a victim of vandalism, or in this case, what I'd like to call evandalism--you know what I'm talking about. It's not hard to guess who might be responsible for this but I will be one to say that it needs to stop right away. Please do not spread your message on a landmark! On so many levels this is just wrong and does not sit well with me at all. I'm not here to bash Christianity. I do recognize that it is not a religion that stuck the "Jesus is Lord" and "Hallelujah" stickers to the Tower Bridge and surrounding area but most likely a group of young, naive kids out to do "good." Good deeds and effectiveness, well, that's definitely something that is open to interpretation but from my perspective I cannot get past the weirdness of it all. "Jesus is Lord" and "The Prince of Peace is Lord" stickers all over the place--that's just weird!!! ;) For the record, if the message were of political nature or a local band advertising themselves I would feel no different (so please no religious debates on my blog.) Bottom line, public property is not to be destructed. Thank you very much.
So taking a step back from the heaviness of the topic, everybody does react differently to things like this and I must say that my reaction included a lot of laughter and wondering what the hell these people were thinking. Vandals for Jesus? Hmm... So anyway, enjoy the message and feel free to share your thoughts.
